Soprano Kyoko Utsumi

Born in Japan.  Started piano and violin lessonns at 
the age of five, and vocal music lesson at the age of 17.

Completed Bachelor of Vocal Music at Toho Gakuen School of Music, Tokyo.

Winner of the 2010 Young Artists Concert Award     (Yokohama Music Association), the 2010 Concert    Award (Yokohama Midori Music Festival Audition)   
and the 2010 Best Young Performer Award (Takara-zuka Vega New Face Concert).

Studied at Dante Mazzola’s Master Class, Japan      2008.  Awarded the 2008 Best Performers Award 
and won the 2008 Ikuno Musica Scholarship.

Joint concert with Norman Shetler at Zushi Art Festi-val 2016 and 2017.

Performed with Pacific Symphony Orchestra conducted by Diego Crovetti at Prymorye  Regional Philharmonic Hall in Vladivostok, Russia 2014.  CD of the live recording of this performance has been released.
